Propagation means creating a new plant from part of an existing one. For succulents and some cacti, this can be done with leaves, cuttings, offsets, or pups.

Let a cutting or leaf callus in a dry, shaded place before placing it on well-draining soil. Keep the setup bright but out of harsh direct sun, and add only a little moisture once roots begin to form.

Propagation takes patience. Wait for healthy roots and new growth before moving the young plant into a regular pot and care routine.
